Queen Yemisi Ignites a New Era with the Release of her long awaited original single “Rasta Man”, Featuring Ras Kronik

London, UK: With grace, fire, and undeniable soul, Queen Yemisi returns to the spotlight with her electrifying new single, "Rasta Man" featuring internationally acclaimed reggae artist Ras Kronik. This bold release marks the powerful relaunch of her career under Studio 204 Records, blending authenticity, rhythm, and passion into one unforgettable sound.

Born Debra Owens in South Carolina, Queen Yemisi first captivated Chicago’s jazz audiences with her velvet tone and expressive delivery. Her deep connection to reggae led her to Jamaica, where she teamed up with Du Merciless to record the chart-topping "Sexy Lover" on the Greensleeves label. The song peaked on the Echoes Reggae Singles Chart in early 1996 and remained there for five weeks. That same year she was listed among the Top 50 Singles Acts of 1996. "Rocking Chair" with Merciless followed.

Now, guided by the multi-award-winning producer/engineer Karl "KC" Cousin of Studio 204 Records, Queen Yemisi is back, combining her jazz sophistication and reggae spirit with a message of strength, unity, and love.

"Rasta Man" is a vibrant celebration of rhythm and culture, a modern roots anthem that honours the heart of reggae while elevating Queen Yemisi’s unique and timeless voice. The song captures her signature warmth and charisma, framed by a dynamic performance from Ras Kronik that fuses contemporary production with authentic Caribbean soul.

This release marks the next chapter of Queen Yemisi’s career; one fuelled by veracity, love, and fire. With Studio 204 Records and The Entertainment Bureau at the helm, her music continues to bridge worlds, uplift hearts, and remind listeners that true artistry knows no boundaries.
